Upgrade your Full Size Jeep with our NEW premium tailgate glass replacement, designed specifically for 1963-1978 Wagoneer and 1974-1978 Cherokee models. Measuring 53.563" x 19.375" and crafted from 1/4" clear monolithic glass, this replacement piece offers exceptional clarity with an impressive 88% visible light transmission (VLT).
This high VLT value means that 88% of natural light can flow through, enhancing visibility and creating a brighter, more inviting interior space. While the glass does not include a defroster or the chrome stainless steel trim typically found on earlier models, its superior transparency ensures your Full Size Jeep remains stylish and functional.
Optional Bottom Lifter Channel: You have the option to purchase the tailgate glass with or without the bottom channel. If you choose WITH the bottom channel, we will install it for you! We prefer to use 3M Urethane Windo-Weld versus a gasket as this creates a better seal to keep water from getting down into the channel, stopping future rusting from occurring.

Compatibility Note: This 1/4" glass is technically correct for 1963-1978 models. Although the thickness changed to 3/16" in 1979, it still fits later models as they use the same side channel guides and seals.

Parts returned that are not defective, are subject to a 25% restocking charge. JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. is NOT responsible for any parts that have been altered, modified, disassembled, or damaged by misuse or an accident subsequent to the parts purchase.
Reconditioned parts come with a minimum warranty of 90 days, unless otherwise stated (Refer to product listing for warranty duration). The warranty is void if the parts are not returned in the same condition in which they are sold. Warranties for aftermarket parts are covered by the manufacturer.
What Are My Shipping Fees?
For orders delivered within the continental US where reason for return isn't a result of a JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and a return fee will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. The flat fee for each item being returned can be found in the chart below:
