Kit Includes:
(1) Front 2-hole “Z” bracket
(1) Rear 1-hole “Z” bracket
(1) 28-3/4" center strap
Bolt packet includes:
• (4) 3/8" × 1" bolts, nuts, and washers
• (1) 7/16" × 3" bolt, nut, and washer

Installation:

1. Front “Z” bracket:
   The front “Z” bracket has two holes drilled in it. Bolt this bracket to the original two mounting holes. The front of the tank installs into this bracket once it is secured.

2. Rear “Z” bracket:
   The rear “Z” bracket has one hole drilled in it. After the tank is inserted into the front bracket, this rear bracket supports the back of the tank and uses the original hole where the metal tank was fastened.

3. Center strap:
   The center strap replaces the original center strap that most metal tanks were equipped with. Use the long bolt supplied with the kit on one end of the strap. This bolt is used to pull the tank up tight against the upper brackets that are already fastened to the underside of the floorboards.

   Since bringing this replacement tank to market, we have encountered several versions of this tank. Some do not have all of the original mounting brackets, and some have different hose arrangements. Depending on your existing brackets, you may need to fabricate your own brackets for the best installation. If your original tank has additional hoses, it may be possible to install a “T” fitting in the line to create an additional connection point for the old hoses on the new tank.

   We do not encourage bypassing or eliminating any federal emissions equipment. All of our tanks include an emissions return line if the original tank was so equipped. You are not required to use the emissions return if your vehicle does not require it.
