Poly Fuel Tank strap kit for 1970-1979 Wagoneer and 1974-1979 Cherokee 21 gal fuel tanks. Please note these are for aftermarket poly tanks only, not original steel tanks.

Kit Includes:

• (1) Front 2-hole “Z” bracket
• (1) Rear 1-hole “Z” bracket
• (1) 28 ¾” Center Strap
• (1) Bolt Packet:
• (4) 3/8”x 1” BOLTS, NUTS,WASHERS
• (1) 7/16”x3” BOLT, NUT, WASHER

Installation Instructions:

1. Bolt the front “Z” bracket with the 2 holes into the original 2 holes. Then insert the front of the tank into this bracket
2. Next, bolt the rear “Z” bracket with the 1 hole into the original hole, making sure that it is installed with the rear of the tank level, and being held by the rear bracket.
3. The center strap replaces the original center strap that most of the metal tanks were equipped with. Install one end of the strap and use the included 3” long bolt to pull the tank up tight to the upper brackets that are already existing under the floor boards.

It is important to note that there are several variations of the tanks that this tank replaces. As such, there may be some differences in the mounting brackets (some may have all, some or none), as well as possibly hose configurations. If your original tank had more hoses for venting / etc, you can add a tee to connect them to the vent. We do not advise bypassing or removing any Federal Emission Standards equipment.
