This Upper & Lower 2BBL Carburetor Gasket Set is designed for 1974–1991 Full Size Jeeps equipped with AMC V8 engines using a 2-barrel carburetor. This set includes both critical carburetor gaskets used in factory-style intake setups, sealing the carburetor, insulator (phenolic spacer), and intake manifold as a complete system.

On stock AMC V8 applications, the carburetor is isolated from engine heat by a fiber/phenolic insulator plate.

This kit includes:

• The upper gasket, which seals the carburetor to the insulator (Thin gasket ~0.025")
• The lower gasket, which seals the insulator to the intake manifold (Thick gasket ~0.40")

Together, these are commonly referred to as the upper and lower 2BBL carburetor gaskets. Replacing both at the same time is strongly recommended anytime the carburetor or insulator is removed, as worn or compressed gaskets can cause vacuum leaks, idle instability, hesitation, or tuning issues.

This kit eliminates guesswork by providing the correct gaskets for both mating surfaces, restoring proper sealing and thermal isolation throughout the carburetor mounting stack.
