Automatic TF727 Shift Linkage Repair Kit with Bushings for Full Size Jeep
If the shifter on your Full Size Jeep feels loose, sloppy, or inconsistent, this repair kit may be exactly what you need. Over time, the plastic bushings and pivot points in the automatic transmission linkage wear out, crack, or break down. When that happens, your gear selector can develop excessive play, become difficult to line up correctly, or even make it hard to shift cleanly into Park, Reverse, or Drive.
This kit is designed to help restore tighter, more precise movement in the shift linkage at the transmission on TF727 automatic-equipped Full Size Jeeps. It includes the commonly worn bearing assembly, screws, and three plastic linkage bushings used in this linkage setup. Replacing these worn pieces can help bring back smoother shifting and reduce the sloppy feel that often develops with age.
The linkage is located just above the transmission, and these are the bushings that typically wear out and create trouble. If your Full Size Jeep feels vague when shifting, seems hard to get fully into gear, or has noticeable slop at the shifter, worn linkage bushings are often the cause. Catching the problem early can help prevent a frustrating no-shift situation later on.
This kit includes one main bearing assembly. Your Full Size Jeep will typically have two bearings underneath, but in many cases only one is the main failure point. An extra bearing may still be worth considering if you want to freshen the system further while you are in there. This kit also includes a boot and inner boot. Those pieces are not normally required for this specific installation, but they are included because this kit is also used in other linkage-related applications.
Kit includes:

Notes:
If your Full Size Jeep automatic shifter has become loose, hard to position, or unreliable, this kit is a smart way to tighten things back up and restore confidence when selecting gears.
