Designed for maximum compatibility and precision, this kit allows you to install a range of GM automatics—including the 700R4, TH350, TH400, early 4L60E, 4L65E (with controller), and 4L80E (with torque converter and controller modifications)—in your classic Wagoneer, Cherokee, Grand Wagoneer, J10, or J20.

This kit features a 0.5-inch thick, laser-cut, Blanchard-ground steel adapter plate and includes a modified 164-tooth flexplate, spacers, fasteners, and CNC-machined dowel locators for perfect alignment and reliability. It is compatible with both Chevy and Buick/Olds/Pontiac (B/O/P) engine flanges.

Transmission Compatibility & Notes:

• Works with AMC starters (some applications may require a specific AMC starter; details included with instructions)
• 4L80E requires a modified factory torque converter with TH350 bolt pattern and a standalone controller
• Early electronically controlled 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L80E require a separate transmission control unit
• Not compatible with late 4L60E/4L80E transmissions featuring a removable bellhousing or hex rear bolt pattern
• Not for 6L80E applications
• For 1972–1983 CJ5 models, TH350 is the best fit due to transmission length; excessive lift is not recommended
• GM TH400 must use the 9-3/8” bolt pattern; will not work with larger 10” pattern
• If your AMC 360 is 1971 or earlier, please contact us to verify the correct crankshaft spacer
