Edelbrock Universal EFI Fuel Sump Kit (Surge Tank)
The Edelbrock Universal EFI Fuel Sump Kit is designed to convert a traditional low-pressure carbureted fuel system into one capable of supporting electronic fuel injection. It acts as a compact surge tank and high-pressure pump assembly, allowing EFI systems to receive consistent fuel pressure without replacing or modifying the factory fuel tank.
This unit installs under the hood and works alongside the vehicle’s existing fuel pump and tank. Fuel from the low-pressure supply fills the sump reservoir, where an integrated high-pressure pump delivers the steady pressure required by EFI systems. This design helps prevent fuel starvation while maintaining reliable pressure for proper injector operation.
One of the advantages of this system is that it eliminates the need for extensive fuel system modifications. The sump is engineered to operate without a return line or external fuel pressure regulator, simplifying installation while still maintaining stable fuel delivery.
The system is adjustable from 35 to 90 PSI, allowing it to support a wide range of EFI setups. With a flow capability of approximately 67 gallons per hour, the system is capable of supporting engines producing up to 600 horsepower. This makes it suitable for many aftermarket fuel injection systems, including setups commonly used on performance upgrades or engine swap applications.

Installation Notes
This kit includes the necessary wiring harness, hose, fittings, mounting hardware, and fuel filter for installation. During installation, a vent line must be routed from the sump overflow port back to the fuel tank to ensure proper operation.
