This Rancho Steering Damper Kit is designed to improve steering control and reduce unwanted steering feedback commonly experienced on older Full Size Jeeps—especially vehicles running larger tires or lifted suspension setups.
As tire size and suspension height increase, steering systems are exposed to greater stress from road irregularities, rut tracking, bump steer, and wheel shimmy. This steering stabilizer kit helps absorb those impacts before they reach the steering wheel, reducing driver fatigue both on the road and off-road.
The steering damper kit includes a Rancho RS5000 steering stabilizer along with vehicle-specific mounting brackets and hardware designed to bolt directly to the factory steering linkage without modification. The brackets are manufactured from high-strength steel and feature corrosion-resistant finishes for long-term durability.
The RS5000 stabilizer itself includes a protective shock boot to help shield the rod and seal from dirt, moisture, and debris—important for vehicles that see trail use or harsh weather conditions.

Reconditioned parts come with a minimum warranty of 90 days, unless otherwise stated (Refer to product listing for warranty duration). The warranty is void if the parts are not returned in the same condition in which they are sold. Warranties for aftermarket parts are covered by the manufacturer.
What Are My Shipping Fees?
For orders delivered within the continental US where reason for return isn't a result of a JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and a return fee will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. The flat fee for each item being returned can be found in the chart below:
