These JeepRecyclers.com reproduction tailgate conical alignment bushings are made for 1965–1973 Wagoneers.
The original early Wagoneer alignment cones were part of the factory Tailgate Dovetail Kit, OEM number 66310. These reproduction bushings replace the conical alignment bushing portion of that original tailgate dovetail setup.
These mount to the two-hole metal brackets located on the left and right side of the tailgate body. When the tailgate closes, the conical bushings help guide the tailgate into the correct position and keep it sitting securely, reducing side-to-side movement, and preventing tailgate vibration and rattling while driving.
If the originals are missing, cracked, worn down, or brittle from age, the tailgate may not close as firmly or sit as securely as it should.
These are made in the USA from durable TPU 95A material, a premium rubber-like thermoplastic polyurethane that is flexible but firm, giving your conical bushings a tough, durable feel without being soft or flimsy. It's abrasion, impact, and vibration resistance make it a strong material choice for restoration parts that need to hold up to regular use.
Sold as a pair. Mounting brackets are not included.
Fitment Notes
