This heater hose kit for 1972–1991 Full Size Jeeps equipped with AMC V8 engines is designed to replace the factory heater hoses running between the engine and heater core. These hoses circulate hot engine coolant through the heater core, allowing the HVAC system to provide cabin heat and windshield defrost operation.
Over time, original heater hoses can dry out, soften, crack, or swell internally from heat cycling and coolant exposure. A failing heater hose can lead to coolant leaks, poor heater performance, overheating issues, or unexpected roadside breakdowns. This kit provides a higher-quality replacement using durable OEM-style Thermoid hose designed for long-term reliability.
Unlike many universal replacement hoses, this kit uses the correct 5/8" and 3/4" hose sizes commonly found on AMC V8 Full Size Jeeps and includes the necessary clamps and support hardware for installation. A protective hose sleeve is also included for the 3/4" hose where it routes near the alternator bracket area, helping reduce abrasion and wear.
The hoses are intentionally cut slightly longer than the original factory specification to allow additional flexibility during installation. Depending on your routing and engine configuration, minor trimming may be required for final fitment.
Manufactured from durable EPDM material, these hoses are designed to handle a wide operating temperature range while maintaining flexibility and resistance to coolant deterioration.

Reconditioned parts come with a minimum warranty of 90 days, unless otherwise stated (Refer to product listing for warranty duration). The warranty is void if the parts are not returned in the same condition in which they are sold. Warranties for aftermarket parts are covered by the manufacturer.
What Are My Shipping Fees?
For orders delivered within the continental US where reason for return isn't a result of a JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and a return fee will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. The flat fee for each item being returned can be found in the chart below:
