This Hood Release Cable Kit is designed for 1981–1991 Full Size Jeeps and includes the three key components needed to restore the factory-style hood release system: the hood release cable, cable bracket, and cable shield.

Original hood release cables can become stiff, stretched, frayed, or difficult to operate after decades of use. When the cable begins to bind or fails completely, opening the hood can become a frustrating and time-consuming problem.
