This Melling Camshaft & Lifter Kit is a stock-style replacement camshaft and lifter kit for select Full Size Jeeps equipped with AMC 232 3.8L and 258 4.2L inline 6-cylinder engines. This kit is a great option when rebuilding or refreshing the original inline-six engine in your Wagoneer, Cherokee, or J-Series Truck.
Kit includes the camshaft and matching hydraulic flat tappet lifters, helping restore proper valve timing, smooth engine operation, and dependable stock-style performance. This is not an aggressive performance camshaft. It is designed for customers looking to maintain original-style drivability, idle quality, vacuum, and low-end power.
This kit is also a practical replacement option for discontinued camshaft and lifter kits such as Omix 17420.01, depending on the exact engine and application.

Reconditioned parts come with a minimum warranty of 90 days, unless otherwise stated (Refer to product listing for warranty duration). The warranty is void if the parts are not returned in the same condition in which they are sold. Warranties for aftermarket parts are covered by the manufacturer.
What Are My Shipping Fees?
For orders delivered within the continental US where reason for return isn't a result of a JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and a return fee will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. The flat fee for each item being returned can be found in the chart below:
