Upgrade the ride and control of your lifted Full Size Jeep with a Rancho RS5000X shock absorber designed for vehicles equipped with approximately 2 to 3 inches of suspension lift.
The RS5000X Series combines Rancho’s proven twin-tube construction with vehicle-specific valving designed to improve both on-road ride quality and off-road control. Progressive Engagement Valving helps soften smaller impacts and everyday road irregularities while providing increased damping as suspension movement becomes more aggressive.
Nitrogen gas pressure helps reduce oil aeration and shock fade, while the large shock body and all-weather hydraulic fluid provide consistent performance across changing temperatures and driving conditions. A durable piston rod, rubber bushings, protective boot, and heavy-duty construction make the RS5000X a good choice for both restored Full Size Jeeps and vehicles that regularly see trail or work use.

This shock is intended for vehicles with a suspension lift, not as a direct stock-height replacement. Actual shock requirements can vary depending on spring lift height, suspension modifications, shock mounting locations, and suspension travel.
For 1974–1975 Cherokee SJ and Wagoneer models, this shock is intended for the front suspension only. These early models use different rear shock applications.
Always verify suspension configuration and lift height before installation.

Reconditioned parts come with a minimum warranty of 90 days, unless otherwise stated (Refer to product listing for warranty duration). The warranty is void if the parts are not returned in the same condition in which they are sold. Warranties for aftermarket parts are covered by the manufacturer.
What Are My Shipping Fees?
For orders delivered within the continental US where reason for return isn't a result of a JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and a return fee will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. The flat fee for each item being returned can be found in the chart below:
