This Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminum Cylinder Head is a complete bolt-on performance upgrade for AMC V8 engines, including Full Size Jeeps equipped with AMC 360 and 401 V8 engines.
Designed for AMC 343, 360, 390, and 401 V8 applications, this aluminum cylinder head improves airflow, throttle response, and upper-RPM performance compared to factory cast-iron heads. The intake and exhaust runners are CNC-profiled for improved flow, while the hardened valve seats, bronze valve guides, and fully machined valve cover rails help improve durability and sealing.
This head includes threaded inserts in the rocker stud and exhaust manifold bolt holes for added strength. The intake flange is dual-drilled to work with early and late AMC V8 intake bolt patterns, and the ports remain in the stock location for compatibility with many standard AMC V8 manifolds and headers.
Complete heads are assembled and prepared for installation right out of the box.
These cylinder heads will not accept factory non-adjustable bridge-style rocker arms. They are designed for adjustable, non-bridge rocker arms using a 3/8" rocker stud found HERE.
Recommended spark plug: Champion RC12YC or equivalent 14mm x 3/4" reach spark plug with flat gasket seat.
Edelbrock head gasket sets are recommended. For 1967–1969 AMC V8 engines with 7/16" head bolts, Edelbrock Step Washer Kit #9693 is required.
Always verify rocker arm compatibility, pushrod length, valve spring requirements, piston-to-valve clearance, compression ratio, and intake/header fitment before final assembly.

Reconditioned parts come with a minimum warranty of 90 days, unless otherwise stated (Refer to product listing for warranty duration). The warranty is void if the parts are not returned in the same condition in which they are sold. Warranties for aftermarket parts are covered by the manufacturer.
What Are My Shipping Fees?
For orders delivered within the continental US where reason for return isn't a result of a JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and a return fee will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. The flat fee for each item being returned can be found in the chart below:
