This Edelbrock Performer Non-EGR Intake Manifold is a lightweight aluminum intake upgrade for Full Size Jeeps with AMC V8 engines. Designed for AMC 304, 360, and 401 street engines, this dual-plane intake improves throttle response, fuel distribution, and low-to-mid RPM torque compared to the original cast-iron intake.
The Performer low-rise design is ideal for street-driven Full Size Jeeps, with strong power from off-idle through 5,500 RPM. It is a good match for stock or mildly built AMC V8 engines using a compatible square-bore carburetor.
This is the Non-EGR style intake manifold. It features a satin aluminum finish, major weight savings over the factory intake, and is made in the USA.
Installation Notes
Recommended intake gasket CLICK HERE. Must be used with a factory-style metal valley tray.
The factory oil baffle from the underside of the original intake should be transferred to this manifold. Use RTV sealant on the front and rear end rails instead of end seal gaskets. Hardened washers should be used with the intake bolts to help prevent galling of the aluminum and allow proper torque.
This manifold will not accept factory Motorcraft spread-bore carburetors. Use a compatible square-bore carburetor setup. Edelbrock AVS2 or Performer Series carburetors in the 500–650 CFM range are commonly used, depending on the engine setup.
For 1979 and newer vehicles, Edelbrock throttle bracket adapter may be required depending on throttle and kickdown linkage setup.
