If your 258-powered FSJ is running hot at idle or low speed, the factory water pump is likely part of the problem. The FlowKooler high flow water pump doubles coolant flow at low rpm and idle — exactly when your engine needs it most. At 3,500 rpm, the flow rate returns to normal to prevent overcooling at highway speeds. The result is a cooler engine in traffic, on the trail, and anywhere else the stock pump struggles.
This cast iron bodied pump uses a new 8-blade CNC machined aluminum impeller with 60% more vanes and a tighter plate-to-impeller clearance than the original design, generating greater flow rates and higher head pressure throughout the rpm range. The impeller receives a Type II Class II military grade anodized surface coating that protects against electrolysis and corrosive fluids. Gaskets are included and FlowKooler backs this pump with a 2-year warranty. Pairing it with a Robertshaw hi-flow thermostat is recommended to let the pump perform at its full potential.
Important: AMC used various hub heights — confirm your water pump hub height before ordering. This pump has a 4-1/16 in. hub height and is for V-belt clockwise rotation applications only.

Reconditioned parts come with a minimum warranty of 90 days, unless otherwise stated (Refer to product listing for warranty duration). The warranty is void if the parts are not returned in the same condition in which they are sold. Warranties for aftermarket parts are covered by the manufacturer.
What Are My Shipping Fees?
For orders delivered within the continental US where reason for return isn't a result of a JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and a return fee will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. The flat fee for each item being returned can be found in the chart below:
