The late model AMC 258 switched to a serpentine belt drive system that requires a counter-clockwise rotating water pump — and that's exactly what this FlowKooler is built for. It doubles coolant flow at idle and low rpm where your FSJ needs it most, then returns to normal flow at 3,500 rpm to avoid overcooling at speed. The aluminum housing keeps weight down while the 8-blade CNC machined aluminum impeller with 60% more vanes and tighter clearances generates greater flow rates and higher head pressure than the stock pump ever could.
The impeller receives a Type II Class II military grade anodized coating to resist electrolysis and corrosive fluids. Gaskets are included and the pump is backed by FlowKooler's 2-year warranty. Pairing it with a Robertshaw hi-flow thermostat is recommended for best results.
Important: This pump is for serpentine belt, counter-clockwise rotation applications only. Do not use with V-belt systems. AMC used various hub heights — confirm yours before ordering. This pump has a 3-3/4 in. hub height.

Reconditioned parts come with a minimum warranty of 90 days, unless otherwise stated (Refer to product listing for warranty duration). The warranty is void if the parts are not returned in the same condition in which they are sold. Warranties for aftermarket parts are covered by the manufacturer.

For orders delivered within the continental US where reason for return isn't a result of a JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and a return fee will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. The flat fee for each item being returned can be found in the chart below:
