For the early AMC 258 inline-six powering Full Size Jeeps 1965-1980 1980, this Melling oil pump repair kit provides everything needed to bring a worn pump back to spec. Whether you're doing a full engine rebuild or chasing a nagging oil pressure problem, this kit lets you rebuild the original pump casting rather than replace it outright, provided the housing is still serviceable.
Melling is the benchmark for oil pump components, and this kit is no exception. All internals are new, precision-made in the USA, and designed specifically for the M-81 oil pump used in these early 258 applications. The cover on these pumps has no tab and uses a slotted hole — confirm this matches your pump before ordering, as the 1981-and-later 258 uses a different pump design.

Reconditioned parts come with a minimum warranty of 90 days, unless otherwise stated (Refer to product listing for warranty duration). The warranty is void if the parts are not returned in the same condition in which they are sold. Warranties for aftermarket parts are covered by the manufacturer.
What Are My Shipping Fees?
For orders delivered within the continental US where reason for return isn't a result of a JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and a return fee will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. The flat fee for each item being returned can be found in the chart below:
