If you're swapping in an aftermarket distributor or camshaft on your AMC V8, mismatched gears are one of the most expensive mistakes you can make. This MSD camshaft mounted distributor gear is matched to MSD's distributor gear, helping you avoid the gear-chewing, metal-shaving disaster that comes from mixing unmatched parts.
It's made from high-grade ductile iron with a hardened outer layer thickness of RC 55-60, then micro-polished for smooth contact and Melonite QPQ coated to reduce friction and initial wear. The interstitial carbide concentration improves wear resistance and running properties over the life of the gear. Be sure to reuse your existing timing cover dowels and oil slinger, and pair this with a matched distributor gear for the best results.

Reconditioned parts come with a minimum warranty of 90 days, unless otherwise stated (Refer to product listing for warranty duration). The warranty is void if the parts are not returned in the same condition in which they are sold. Warranties for aftermarket parts are covered by the manufacturer.

For orders delivered within the continental US where reason for return isn't a result of a JeepRecyclers.com/McDaniel Motor Co. error, the cost of the initial shipping charge and a return fee will be deducted from your refund. A prepaid shipping label(s) will be provided. The flat fee for each item being returned can be found in the chart below:
