Tired of dealing with a weak factory electronic distributor, an outdated points setup, or a failing DuraSpark. This MSD Pro-Billet Ready-to-Run distributor eliminates the problematic stock ignition module entirely. Installation only requires three wires and a coil, no external MSD ignition control needed.

A maintenance-free magnetic pickup accurately triggers this ignition, with increased output from the built-in amplifier that easily outperforms stock setups. Expect a smoother idle, better starting, and reliable performance at higher rpm. The housing is machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum on CNC mills and lathes for a unit free of porosity or weak spots, while an oversized steel shaft spins in a top-mounted sealed ball bearing and an extra-long sintered bushing for stability. The shaft also receives a QPQ coating for low friction and corrosion resistance.

Adjustable mechanical advance lets you tailor the ignition curve to your engine's needs, and a vacuum advance canister is included to help with fuel economy, with the option to lock it out if desired. An HEI style distributor cap and rotor are included and accept Cap-A-Dapts. Note that this distributor requires different spark plug wires than a stock setup.
