Description

These COMP Cams 10° Steel Valve Spring Retainers are designed for use with compatible performance valve springs that require a larger, stronger retainer than the original factory setup.

When upgrading valve springs on an AMC V8, the retainers, locks, and springs must all be matched correctly. These retainers are designed for 10° valve locks and are commonly used with compatible single or dual valve spring setups where a stronger steel retainer is required.

Each retainer is precision-machined from SAE 4140 chromemoly steel and finished in black oxide for added durability. The contoured design helps reduce stress, lower mass, and provide positive valve spring location when used with the correct COMP Cams valve springs and matching 10° locks.

Sold as a complete set of 16.

Fitment Notes

These retainers are not a stand-alone factory replacement part. They must be used with compatible valve springs and matching 10° valve locks.

For AMC V8 Full Size Jeep applications, these are intended for upgraded valve spring setups where the spring, retainer, and lock combination has been properly matched.
